Use the Coarse Side to Shorten and Shape Nails: 

• Hold the nail file securely in your dominant hand. Start by using the coarse side of the nail file to shorten the length of your nails if necessary. File in one direction, moving from the outer edge of the nail towards the centre. Avoid sawing back and forth, as it can cause nail damage. 

Shape the Nails: 

• Once you've achieved your desired nail length, continue using the coarse side of the nail file to shape the edges of your nails into your preferred nail shape. 

Smooth and Refine Edges with the Softer Side: 

• After shaping the nails, flip the nail file to the softer side. Use this side to smooth and refine the edges of your nails, removing any roughness or jagged edges left by the coarse side.
