How does it work?

We send our customers a luxury metal handle with your first month's blades and then four replacement blades through the letterbox each month. That’s a fresh new blade each week – perfect for a super close and irritation-free shave. Membership starts from £9 a month and customers can suspend, change frequency or cancel their subscription at any time.

What are the benefits?

Replacing your razor blades regularly will help to ensure an irritation free shave, as bacteria builds up in razor blades over time which causes razor bumps. Blunt blades also cause razor burn/rash because they require more pressure than a sharp blade. Using fresh blades means closer, cleaner and smoother shaves.

What quality are the blades?

Our blades are comparable with big brand razors you'd buy on the high street. Manufactured to the highest standards in the world by the Edgewell, the parent company of the Wilkinson Sword.

How many blades do you receive every month?

Each month you will receive four razor refills - one for each week of the month. We encourage you to get used to the luxury of using a fresh, sharp, clean blade – every week. However, should you find you are not using all your blades during the month, you can always switch to receive blades every other month or pause your delivery.

What can I do if I find I have too many blades?

We encourage you to get used to the luxury of using a fresh blade every week to minimise irritation. However, should you find you are not using all your blades during the month, you can get in touch with us and request to not be billed (or receive blades) for a month. You can also switch to receive blades every other month.

How often should I change my blades?

It is very important to change your blade weekly, we spoke to skin expert and Cosmetic Physician Dr. Karim , who educated us on the bacteria that can grow within your razor head whilst stored in your bathroom. She advised her patients that when shaving they should change their blade once a week.

With this information, we recommend you change your blade each week or after 5-6 uses of your blade, to prevent any health risks and for hygiene purposes.

What will I receive in my first box?

Once you have signed up to a subscription your box will be on it's way to you the next working day. In your first box you will receive your weighted metal razor and four blades.

If you have added any extra add-ons such as our shave cream this will arrive along with your razor and handle in a larger box. After your first month you will start to receive monthly blade refills. You can add and remove any add-ons at anytime throughout your subscription.

What is included in the gift box?

Our Gift box includes the following:

1 x Engraved razor, 4 x single blades, Blade cover, Shave scrub, Shave cream, Post shave balm, Shower hook, Travel pouch, Clamshell blade protector.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Your order will be packed and dispatched the next working day from when you place your order and can take 3-5 working days to arrive.

If there is no sign of your order after this time scale please contact us so we can track your parcel through Royal mail.

Will the box fit inside my letterbox?

If you have signed up to a subscription that includes monthly deliveries of just blades, these are the size of a large letter and will fit inside your letterbox.

If you have added any creams or scrubs, these make the box slightly thicker and will only fit in around 90% of letter boxes. Thickness: 42mm.

A payment has been taken but my order hasn’t arrived.

Please allow 3-5 working days for your order to arrive after the date payment has been taken. If your order hasn't arrived after 5 working days, please contact us so we can track your order through Royal mail for you.

Returns

We're sure you’ll love your FFS products, but if not, you can return them to us within 14 days of delivery for a full refund once the products have been returned to us. Simply contact us within 14 days of receiving your FFS products and we’ll assist you with your return. Alternatively, you can package and post back your items via registered post to:

Please note we will only refund an item once we are notified of your intention to return within 14 days and goods are returned. We will also give a refund for a returned product if we are notified within 14 days after a subscription renewal and again the goods are returned to us. We do not offer refunds for subscription orders outside of the 14 day term.

When will my next set of blades be dispatched?

The date you purchased your first order is the date your blades will be dispatched every month or every other month. You can change the date your blades are dispatched by logging in to your account page.

You will be able to see when your next set of blades are going to be dispatched in your account page.

I ordered the gift box but how can I sign up to receiving just blades?

Once you receive your gift box you will receive a voucher inside the box which enables you to get 25% off your first month when you sign up to a subscription. If you do not have this code please let us know!

As you have already received a handle, that code will automatically deduct the handle off your order at the checkout.

How can I get a new handle?

Our Rose & Silvia handles are £9 each. You can add one of these to your next order in your account page.

How can I buy extra blades?

If you require extra blades one month, you can contact us at anytime and we can process a one off payment to your account for you without the need to set up another subscription.

How do I cancel?

To cancel your subscription please email: Info@frictionfreeshaving.com 

Please include the email address to your subscription and postcode so we can find your account.

We would also love to hear any feedback you have on our products in your email.

You will receive a confirmation from our team when your subscription has been successfully cancelled.

How can I pause my subscription?

You can pause your subscription for up to three months in your account page. Click ‘Delivery Schedule’ then next to each product you can click ‘Skip’ and choose the date that you’d like to pause until.

How can I change my frequency?

In your account page click ‘Subscriptions’ then next to each product you’ll be able to edit your delivery frequency.

How to add and remove products.

You can add or remove products from your delivery in your account page. To remove products from your plan, click ‘Delivery Schedule’ then next to each product you can click ‘Edit’ this will allow you to cancel a product or swap this for an alternative product.

How can I update my card details?

In your account page click ‘Billing Information’ then click ‘Update ‘Card’. You’ll then be able to enter your new details and click save.

Why can’t I login to my account?

When logging in you need to make sure that there’s no capital letters or spaces at the beginning or end of the email. If you’re still having trouble logging in contact us oninfo@frictionfreeshaving.com and we can help further.

How can I update my address?

You can update your address in your account page, click ‘Subscriptions’ and next to the current address click ‘Edit’. You can then enter your new address and click ‘Save’.

Where are your blades made?

Our blades are made in Germany and are manufactured to the highest standards in the world by the Edgewell, the parent company of the Wilkinson Sword.

Do your blades contain nickel?

Our blades are made of stainless steel.

Stainless steel is the industry standard amongst all razors and blades manufacturers as it delivers increased resistance to corrosion.

Stainless Steel is made of iron and contains varying amounts of Chromium, Carbon, Silicon, Manganese and very small amounts of other elements such as vanadium, molybdenum and nickel.

Nickel is a trace material during the steel making process. It is not an active ingredient in our Stainless steel.

What are your blades made of?

Where can I find the bikini blade?

The bikini blade can be found on the very tip of each blade.

Are your blades recyclable?

Yes, our blades can be recycled with the FFS recycling scheme. You can add a return post bag to your order in your account page to send back your blades to be recycled.

Are our products cruelty free?

All of our products are completely cruelty free. Our shave cream, shave scrub and shave balm are certified as cruelty free under the Leaping Bunny Programme.

Are your razors vegan?

Our blades are manufactured by Egdewell Personal Care who make the following claims:

-No animal based raw materials

-No ingredients of animal origin

-Manufacturing process does not include materials of animal origin

-No animal tests

As such, we suggest that our razors are suitable for vegans.

Are your balms, scrubs and shave creams vegan?

Unfortunately our Shave cream, scrub and balm are not vegan as they contain Manuka honey.
