How to Use Wax Strips for Hair Removal
- Ensure your skin is clean and dry with hairs at least 1/4 of an inch long.
- Hold a double strip between your hands and rub them together for a few seconds to activate.
- Slowly peel the strips apart
- Place the strip onto the area you want to wax in the direction of hair growth.
- Stretch the skin, lift the edge of the strip, and in one swift movement, remove it quickly against the hair growth direction.
Aftercare Post-Waxing Advice: Soak a cloth in hot water, place it on the waxy residue for about a minute, then use the cloth to remove the wax from the skin OR dip a cotton pad in mineral oil, massage oil, or olive oil. Hold the soaked pad on the waxy residue for about two minutes, then wipe away with a clean cotton pad.
Top Tips:
- Always pull away in the opposite direction of hair growth
- Exfoliate skin before waxing.
- Allow at least 1/4 inch of hair growth before waxing.
- Avoid sun exposure 24 hours before and after waxing.
- Don’t wax over the same area more than twice. If a few strands of hair remain, use tweezers to remove them.
